The building has an opinion
Most renovation styles are chosen from photographs, and photographs never show what a look costs to achieve in a particular building. A flush, shadow-gapped detail is straightforward in new blockwork and difficult in a wall that is four hundred years old and not flat anywhere. Neither fact is visible in the image that made somebody want it.
That is what these pages are for. Each one describes a style in terms of what it asks of the property rather than in terms of adjectives, because the gap between the two is where budgets go. Some styles suit the island stock so well that they are almost the default. Others are entirely achievable and cost more than people expect, and it is better to know which is which before the drawings.
None of these pages price anything. When you know what you want, the service pages cover the work itself and route to companies that quote it.
