What has to be lifted, and when

How many crane visits should a quote include?
As few as the job allows, and the number should be stated. It is one of the clearest differences between a quote written by somebody who has worked on this coast and one written from a floor plan.
Why do I have to choose the glazing so early?
Because a large unit has to arrive while the access route is still open, and after that it cannot get in without another lift. On a stepped plot the ordering deadline is set by the site, not by the supplier.
Does the street have to be closed?
Usually for a period on lifting days, and it is arranged rather than improvised. Companies working here do it regularly; what matters is that the time and the arranging are in the price.
